Steinhafels is the new sponsor of the iHeart Radio Lounge in Greenfield! I was chosen to design this space where artists can come and play small private shows to select groups of iHeart listeners. The goal was to maximize seating so that we could comfortably seat as many people as possible without totally crowding the space. With some smart furniture selections and varied height seating, I was able to create a layout that sat almost 50 people and was also visually pleasing and comfortable for smaller gatherings! I even incorporated a cool “rooftop lounge” photo-op space in the lobby where guests can take cool selfies and group photos to commemorate the event!
Turner Hall is a smaller entertainment venue associated with the Pabst Theater in downtown Milwaukee. They had this backstage area that was used for artists/performers as a backstage lounge, as well as a bride’s room for weddings. They were in need of a refresh, which is where I came in! Due to the age of the building and location of the room itself, we were limited on what furniture items would make it up the staircases and down the narrow hall into the space. Using smaller scale pieces that were easy to clean and maintain, I was able to put together a plan that fit the industrial style of the space itself and make it comfortable and functional for all of it’s guests!
The 88.9 radio station in Milwaukee has a nice little “zen” room for their employees. You can go there to relax and unwind after a hectic morning, working moms can use this room to pump, or a small group of friends can go here to hold a group meditation session. Regardless of how their employees chose to use the space, it needed an upgrade. Enter, me! Their team really didn’t want to change much except for the furniture, so I gave them a much more comfortable and easy to clean sofa, an accent chair complete with a comfy ottoman, as well as a cute apothecary style accent cabinet for storage and a space for people to set their belongings. Overall changing the layout of this small room made it flow much better, and now the space’s feng shui fits the relaxing purpose of the room!
